The Alpha Delta Pi experience is one that enriches the lives of its members through friendships, opportunities for personal growth, happy memories, commitment to high ideals, development of good decision-making skills, and a sense of pride in being a sorority woman. We encourage our members to get involved on campus and seek leadership roles in special interest and honor societies.
We are so proud of all the hard work our sisters accomplish for this chapter and in their own academic and personal lives. In 2024, sister Kara Gardiner was won the University of Maryland Panhellenic Association 2024 President of the Year award! Kara and sister Miranda Miner also were also awarded the Dorothy Shaw Award by Alpha Delta Pi. Our chapter was also recognized as the most involved Panhellenic chapter and was also awarded the Four Point Diamond Award at the Grand Convention for the year 2024.
For the 2024-2025 school year, we contributed $2249.81 for Ronald McDonald House Charities and reported 156 individual hours of service to the organization and other charities. This could not have been done without our driven sisters, putting time aside to help others.
In addition, we also placed first in University of Maryland’s Fall 2024 Homecoming competition along with our IFC matchup, winning $2,000 for our philanthropies. Homecoming consisted of various events worth points, including community service with Terps Against Hunger and Clean City Project. We also took part in painting a banner and a lip-sync battle.
